Ishan Srivastava (1996) is a second year Experimental Media Art Major at Srishti Institute of Arts, Design and Technology, Bangalore, India. Mainly practicing his skill in the field of illustration, he takes keen interest in the workings of the human mind and how the creative process of coming up with an artwork works. Ishan’s illustrations lean towards stylized 2D character designs and environments, taking heavy influence from contemporary manga and the anatomical proportions of Western comics.

This project is a satirical intervention into the system of A-Z ‘experts’ we come across online on blogs and forums. These are people who claim to be experts in fields, which seem too peculiar, or narrow, to even require an expertise in. With ANONYMOUS WALL, I wanted to play with the linguistic aspects of marketing goods like a seller. With the charisma and hype of a salesman combined with the trust building aspects of offering consultancy services, I wanted to make a service that asks the buyer to trust it and at the same time, does not fail to look like a cheap con trick.
